A skill training programme was initiated in collaboration with 4 District Collectors through GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. In September 2023 mobilization camps were conducted on the importance of skill training by GMR Varalakshmi Foundation in the 4 districts to enroll youth for skill training.
After the camps, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation sponsored 34 youth (boys and girls) from 4 Districts – Nirmal, Asifabad, Utnoor and Adilabad. These youths were trained in the areas of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (R & AC), Electrician, Automobiles and Home Health Aide. The trainees underwent training between Oct 2023 and Jan 2024 at the GMR VF centres in – 1) Hyderabad, 2) Raikal (Jagtial District) and 3) Nagaram (Sircilla District).
What is noteworthy is that all 34 students have got placed in Corporates in Hyderabad, after a 3-month training programme.
A valedictory programme took place on January 9, 2024 at the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation Centre, Shamshabad, Hyderabad. The skilled youth received their course completion certificate and placement letter.
