‘Sahas’ (means courage in Hindi) an initiative to make workplaces safer for women was launched by the Women Safety Wing of the Telangana Police on May 19, 2023.
As per the National Family Health Survey, 2022, Telangana has the 3rd highest percentage of working women in India (across sectors but especially in IT and ITES).
Any kind of harassment that a woman faces at any workplace can be brought to the notice of the police through the portal https://womensafetywing.telangana.gov.in/sahas/
Anyone can send a WhatsApp message or even send an anonymous complaint via this website.
This initiative is the brainchild of Shikha Goel ji, the Additional Director General of Police who is a forthright Leader and has driven a number of initiatives for the betterment of society.
The event saw full attendance by industry bodies such as CII, FICCI’s FLO, HYSEA, FTCCI, CREDAI TSFCC and a couple of others. The event’s guests of honour included Janaab Mohd. Mahboob Ali sir and Anjani Kumar ji (Director General of Police).
