On February 15, 2025, the Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG), the CSR wing of the Telangana Government, participated in “A Humane World” event organized by Humane World for Animals (HWA). HWA’s mission is to end animal suffering and protect animals both in India and globally.
Chief Guest Amala Akkineni, renowned actor and philanthropist, shared her lifelong commitment to animal welfare, from stopping wildlife showcases in circuses to advocating against animal experimentation.
With projects in over 50 countries, HWA addresses multiple forms of animal cruelty, including fur trade, puppy farming, and illegal wildlife trafficking.
