T-SIG was at a #WomenAskKTR event on November 19, 2023 in Hyderabad where we met Swarna Latha Karanam. Her efficiency with which she was going about her life, despite not having upper limbs and the way she fished out her visiting card from her bag and handed it over to me with ease, was inspiring.
Swarna Latha shared – she was in 4th grade, playing with her cousins on a terrace, when she came in touch with high tension electricity wires and in that accident she lost both her arms.
Today she’s a mom to a 9 year old son. Her husband and she run a start-up.
A classic case of “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”
Kudos to her and so many other women and men out there for their indefatigable spirit!
