T-SIG was invited to be part of the Rural Women’s Leadership Program by Democratic Sangha that was launched on August 17, 2024, in Hyderabad.
This program aims to empower rural women from marginalized communities to become catalysts for social change and community development. Over the 2024-25, 50 women’s collectives will meet every month to learn and implement a change-driven agenda in their villages.
The program will cover essential topics such as:
Self-awareness and democracy
Constitutional framework and rights
Human rights and gender equality
Inter-sectionality issues like food, health, violence, livelihoods, education, and property rights
