Did you know that only 3 out of 5 girls in India are enrolled in higher secondary education, with those from marginalized communities facing the highest dropout rates? On November 24, 2024, the Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG) participated in CRY’s “Walk to EmpowHER” in Hyderabad to raise awareness about these critical issues. Since 1980, CRY has empowered over 4 million children, aiding 4+ lakh in 2024 alone. The event highlighted the barriers girls face, from lack of access to education to harmful societal norms.
Guests, including Ms. Archana Suresh, Director T-SIG and prominent actors, joined forces to promote the slogan, ‘Poori Padhai, Desh Ki Bhalai’ (Complete Education, a Nation’s Well-being).
