We at the Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG) visited Suryapet district, just 135 km from Hyderabad. Our mission was two-fold: to distribute 26 wheelchairs for those in need, sponsored by Bring A Smile Foundation and to understand the pressing health and education challenges in the area.
During the team’s visit to a KGBV / Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya school, enthusiastic young girls from farming and labourer families, spoke of their dream of becoming doctors, police officers, and teachers. These bright minds deserve every opportunity to succeed beyond their parents’ circumstances.
We urge Corporates to channel their CSR funds into these underserved rural areas. It will not only open our eyes but also instil gratitude for what we often take for granted.
