The term ‘Juvenile Home’, often stirs up mixed emotions—fear, sympathy, anger, or disappointment.
On November 27, 2024, a day filled with hope dawned for 24 boys who live in a Government Special Home / Juvenile home in Gajularamaram, Hyderabad.
T-SIG/Telangana Social Impact Group (CSR Wing of Telangana Government) facilitated a significant milestone in juvenile re-integration by connecting Bosch Global Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. with the Women Development and Child Welfare (WDCW) Dept and Youngistaan Foundation (NGO).
A STEM / (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Tinkering Lab and a multipurpose court were inaugurated by Ms. Kanthi Wesley, IAS, Commissioner, WDCW and senior leadership at Bosch.
Certificates were also awarded to boys who had completed vocational courses in coding, photography, and professional hair cutting. These courses were designed to aid their reintegration into society and the workforce.
