The State Police’s Women Safety Wing (WSW) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) were brought together by T-SIG on August 11, 2023 in Hyderabad.
The objective was invitations of CSR sponsorship for BHAROSA centers (‘Trust’ centers for women and children who are victims of abuse and violence). The following WSW opportunities to collaborate on, were also discussed:
1. Cyber Ambassador Platform – For online cyber protection
2. SAHAS Initiative – A platform to prevent harassment at the workplace
3. Skill Development Linkage for victims of violence
4. Samarthan – Protection for younger children
5. CDEW – Centre for Development & Empowerment of Women – Family Counselling Centres
The meeting was chaired by Shikha Goel ji, IPS, Addl DGP / Director General of Police. CII was represented by Mr. Samiuddin. Sumathi gaaru, IPS, DIG / Deputy Inspector General also participated with some of her other colleagues.
The initiative saw participation from Corporates like Megha Engineering, Broadridge, Viatris, Gaja Engineering, Indian Immunologicals and Medicover Hospitals.
