GHMC has installed auto-cleaning toilets exclusively for women that come with a sanitary napkin vending machine, a sanitary napkin incinerator and, smart and eco-friendly lighting and flushing systems, at Rs. 7.29 lakh per toilet. These toilets, which incorporate a full cycle approach in sustainable sanitation, are currently operating at 20 locations in the city. Bharat Dynamics Limited has partnered with GHMC to fund the installation of 50 more toilets as part of their CSR agenda.
