Problem

“i. Lack of awareness among youth of available job opportunities in the market ii. Non-availability of proper guidance on choosing a right career/job matching their skills, aspirations as well as market demands. iii. Lack of awareness among youth about skill development opportunities iv. Shortage of trained manpower for employers Yuva Disha aims to bridge information gap in the employment ecosystem and integrate the three stakeholders – the job seekers, trainers and employers leveraging ICT. Yuva Disha is an end-to-end service provider for youth in need of employment integrating under it a host of services to cater to the requirements of unemployed youth. Focus is on tech setup in Hyderabad while the counselling services will be extended to rural areas of Telangana and AP.”

Objective

The Project objectives are to provide both Tele-Counselling and Personalized Counsellings – provides access to information about free and affordable Skill Development Centers and employment opportunities

Description/Summary

“Yuva Disha aims to connect unemployed Youth to the Skill development centers and job placement opportunities, through a TOLL FREE number reachable across Telangana and further, through Tailored Counseling Services and Workshops, thus, bridging the essential ‘information gap’. The initiative brings out the Skill gaps through placement assessment tests. Based on results, the youth are personally counselled and guided based on their skill needs and financial position. Once they take up skill training, Nirmaan Yuva Disha tracks them till they finish the course and then connects them to placement opportunities. However, at the assessment stage itself, if they are up to the industry skill standards, they are directly connected to various placement opportunities.” Being a tech platform, the major costs are towards the development and maintenance of the toll free helpline service along with counselling and infrastructure setup costs.
