Digital Literacy

In today’s times, Internet has become an all pervasive medium to access information and be part of the global community. However, those who don’t have access or understanding of this medium are being left out. Technology can tremendously help underprivileged sections to participate in this new age, remove the middlemen and access services hitherto unavailable or inaccessible for them including government schemes, scholarships, job vacancies etc. In addition, having the knowledge to protect oneself on internet from online identity theft and other cyber crimes is equally important. Through this project, Nirmaan aims to create digital awareness and literacy in Hyderabad and surrounding areas among citizens of 14-60 age group with focus on women, youth and children.
