Godrej, as part of their CSR for integrated development of rural areas, has partnered with NABARD in the implementation of integrated watershed development projects in semi-arid regions of Siddipet district. The goal of the project is to enable farming communities to become less vulnerable by adopting land use and water management practices by managing the use of land and water resources in a comprehensive manner. A Village Watershed Committee will be set up in a participatory manner, with at least 30% participation of women so that, women in these villages have a say in the management of their community’s natural resources. The project will help recover over 3 million kilolitres of water per annum rising the water table and improve livelihoods for over 5000 farmers.
